V1 Import Tools

General Information

All import tools will require a connection to your v1 database.

If you are running 64bit Windows with a Microsoft Access database you will need to temporarily disable the 64bit version of the .NET framework to connect to the database. http://help.tcadmin.com/Disable_64bit_.NET Remember to enable it again after you are done.

If you get an error when connecting to your Microsoft Access database make sure the TCAWeb user has read permissions on the database file and folder that contains the database file.

Import v1 Users

Select the users that you want to import. Only users of type "User" will be shown. Select the role assigned to the user in v2. If you check "Import sub users" the sub users of selected users will also be imported. If the user already exists in v2 you will not be able to import it. You don't have to import all users at the same time. You can always run the import tool again and import the remaining users.

Import v1 Services

First export your v1 game configurations and import them into v2. Create a test game server of each game type and confirm that everything is working correctly. If you previously imported your v1 games or created them from scratch go to the game's settings and enter the v1 game id in the "v1 Game Id" field.

This tool only supports Windows servers. Install and configure TCAdmin v2 on the server where you have v1 installed. After configuring the connection it will ask to select the v1 server that you want to work with and the corresponding v2 server. They should be the same physical server. Select the services that you want to import. You will see any error that will prevent the import of a specific service. Check "Delete from v1 database" if you want to delete the service from the v1 database after it has been imported to v2 successfully. The import process will save the service, command lines and sub user permissions. After the service is imported the v1 Windows service will be stopped and uninstalled. You don't have to import all services at the same time. You can always run the import tool again and import the remaining services.

Unsupported Features

V1 services that use the following features will not be imported. Support for these features will be added in a future update.

  • Game switching
  • Secondary applications
  • Services with "Delete Game Directory when Service is Deleted" unchecked.

Import v1 Teamspeak Services

First add your Teamspeak server to your v2 installation. After configuring the connection it will ask to select the v1 Teamspeak server that you want to work with and the corresponding v2 Teamspeak server. They should be the Teamspeak server. Select the Teamspeak services that you want to import. You will see any error that will prevent the import of a specific Teamspeak service. Check "Delete from v1 database" if you want to delete the Teamspeak service from the v1 database after it has been imported to v2 successfully. You don't have to import all Teamspeak services at the same time. You can always run the import tool again and import the remaining services.
